I think my most inspirational colleague is my dear friend, +Ann DeBolt. I first met Ann over 10 years ago when I was a classroom teacher in Brenham ISD and she worked for the Technology Department. I did not know her well, but I knew of her. Fast forward to 2009 when I reentered Brenham ISD as a Campus Technology Specialist. Ann and I began working together more and more and in 2010 I joined her in the BISD Technology Department. Ann is a very thoughtful and experienced educator. She can look at the big picture and is careful to think about all angles of a situation before making a decision. I, on the other hand, am a dive-in-and-worry-about-the-consequences-later kind of gal. Over the last few years, Ann has taught me how to slow down and process before jumping to a decision or a conclusion. She and I make great team and balance each other out well. More than that, Ann and I have become dear friends. Ann is guarded, but underneath that shield is a WILDLY funny, creative, deeply thoughtful and loyal friend. This year she stepped way out of her comfort zone and left Brenham ISD for a job in an area closer to family and to personal life activities. I am SO PROUD of her for making a tough decision and leaping out into a new challenge. I like to think maybe my spontaneous side rubbed off on her a little. ;) Love you, Ann, and I really am constantly inspired by how you push yourself both personally and professionally!! Together we're better, right?! :)
